Rebekah and Brelan's story starts with Meliek Gaynor, Brelan's Best Man. Brelan and Meliek go back to high school days.

In 2017, Rebekah moved to Atlanta and began a new chapter of her life. That same year, she met Meliek while working at Publix, and the two quickly became friends. At one point, Meliek tried to introduce her to Brelan, convinced they would get along well—but the timing never worked. God had other plans. Despite being in the same extended circle, Brelan and Rebekah never actually met. Not then, and not for six more years. Life moves on.

And in those years between 2017 and 2023, God was working behind the scenes. Rebekah was learning how to stand strong on her own—navigating life in Atlanta, growing through seasons of singleness, and pouring herself into serving at church. At the same time, Brelan was finding his way back to God, reigniting a faith that had gone quiet for a while. They were on separate paths, but both were being shaped, stretched, and drawn closer to Him. God had big plans for them—but they needed to meet at the right time.

Then came 2023... A Gift of Seeking God.

What seemed like a random gym day turned into something much bigger. Meliek invited Brelan to work out, and that day, Rebekah happened to be there too. Just like that, the introduction finally happened—no planning, no pressure, just perfect timing.

After that, Rebekah started getting invited to board game nights and anything Brelan had going on. She fit right in, like she had always been part of the group. What started as simple hangouts turned into a solid friendship, full of laughter and easy connection.

But from the very beginning, Rebekah knew. No confusion, no second-guessing—she knew Brelan was her husband. Still, she didn’t rush it. God had a plan, and part of that plan was building a real friendship first.

For Brelan, it clicked a little later—but when it did, it was clear. He saw that what he had in front of him was special, and he wasn’t about to let it slip away. When they started dating, there were no doubts. It was simple: “I love you, and I’m going to marry you.”

Three months in, Brelan planned a trip to Germany to meet Rebekah’s parents and brother, wanting to fully understand her world. Since then, he’s been back to Europe again—and even brought his parents along. Rebekah has spent time with Brelan’s family in Florida, where she’s been welcomed with open arms.

Rebekah is “God’s Favorite,” and Brelan must be “God’s Most Trusted” to be given her. Their story is all about timing, faith, and knowing when something is real.
